DCL compact quarter-turn electric actuators have been automating butterfly valves for over 19 years, with more than 150,000 units still operating reliably around the world.

Butterfly valves require high torque at the fully closed position to push the valve disc into the seat or pull it back, especially for soft-sealing types. This makes the actuator’s starting torque a critical factor. All DCL actuators are rigorously tested and certified to start under over-rated load even at -10% of rated voltage.

Thanks to this superior performance, a DCL-10 actuator (rated torque 100 Nm) can easily operate a DN100 butterfly valve, while many other brands need to supply a 200 Nm actuator for the same application.

All DCL actuators have passed rigorous CSA testing and are certified to UL and CSA standards. They are also CE marked and RoHS 3.0 compliant, with testing verified by SGS.
